Raid Planner questions
- How does the Raid Planner pick my team?
- Each mon in your bag gets a score from DPS into the boss and how long it lasts under the boss's average moveset. Score is DPS × √(time-to-faint), so pure glass cannons only win if they hit hard enough. Top 6 (or fewer if the bag is small) make the suggested team. Full ranking is in the details panel.
- Why is there no boss CP input?
- Gym pin CP is catch CP, not fight stats. Raid bosses use fixed tier multipliers on base stats. We use those for attack, defense, and HP.
- Where do bosses and moves come from?
- Active bosses come from the live raid rotation feed. Move pools and combat values come from community GAME_MASTER data (Pokémon GO API), not hand-typed tables.
- How is boss charged timing estimated?
- You don't know which moveset the gym rolled. For the expected case we average energy and duration across every possible boss fast move. Worst case uses the fastest-charging fast plus a hard charged. There's a small damage-to-energy term too. It's an estimate, not a frame-perfect replay.
- What do weather and dodge do?
- Weather can boost matching types by 1.2× for you and the boss. Dodge options: none, charged only, or all hits. A successful dodge cuts that hit by about 75%. Real fights still need timing.
- What do DPS, TTK, and TDO mean?
- DPS: damage per second. TTK: time to kill the boss solo. TDO: total damage before your team faints. Hover dotted labels on the page for short tooltips.
- Is the solo win % exact?
- No fake precise win rate. Charged timing and dodges vary. We run expected and worst-case sims, then show a confidence tier (Very Likely through Not Recommended Solo) with TDO and time margins. Trainer count is a rough estimate with buffer.
- How does Mega work here?
- Mega is planner-only, not saved on inventory. Levels 1-3 give +10% / +20% / +30% Attack to same-type party members. One Mega per team. Auto-pick on build, or use the switch on each card (only one stays on). X/Y forms get a picker. Shadows can't Mega.
- What if my inventory is empty or incomplete?
- Empty bag: no team, link to add mons. 1-5 mons still plan as a team of N. 6-10 get a soft warning that the sample is small. Missing level, IVs, or moves use defaults marked assumed. If nothing hits the boss well, we still show the best bag options and say so.
- What's in the details panel?
- Per-mon DPS, sim TDO and turns, matchup flags, move-swap ideas, boss moveset risk (incoming DPS per combo), catch IV floor, and a shared-weakness note if most of the team is soft to the boss charged pool.
