Pokémon GO Season 24 Starts September 8: All the Community Day and Event Dates
August 10, 2026 · David · 11 min read
Season 24 begins September 8, 2026, and its calendar is already out: Community Days on September 12 (Classic), October 10, and November 21, plus three Super Mega Raid Days, two Max Battle Days, a Catch Mastery, and a Hatch Day. Every date is a Saturday.
Season 24 lands on September 8, 2026, and its calendar just got a lot less mysterious. On August 10 the Pokémon GO team posted the save the date list for the coming Season, and it books ten Saturdays between September and November: three Community Days, three Super Mega Raid Days, two Max Battle Days, a Catch Mastery, and a Hatch Day.
No Season name, no featured species. Just dates. That's still enough to plan around, because the event types tell you exactly which resource you need to stop burning right now.
If you're going to be sitting on a pile of Community Day spares in a few weeks, get your want list up early on the live trade feed instead of scrambling the Monday after.
When Season 24 actually starts
Forever Forward ends September 8, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. local time, and Seasons hand off the moment the last one closes, so that is your Season 24 start.
A note on the number, since the official post doesn't use it: the announcement lives at a save-the-date-s24 URL, and community trackers have Forever Forward logged as Season 23. Both point the same way. The actual Season name and its artwork usually drop a few days before it goes live, so that's still to come.
Community Days
| Date | Event | Day of week |
|---|---|---|
| September 12, 2026 | Community Day Classic | Saturday |
| October 10, 2026 | Community Day | Saturday |
| November 21, 2026 | Community Day | Saturday |
Three Community Days for the whole Season, and one of them is a Classic. That means only two brand new featured species are coming between September and the end of November.
Everything else announced
| Date | Event | Day of week |
|---|---|---|
| September 19, 2026 | Super Mega Raid Day | Saturday |
| September 26, 2026 | Catch Mastery | Saturday |
| October 3, 2026 | Max Battle Day | Saturday |
| October 17, 2026 | Hatch Day | Saturday |
| October 24, 2026 | Max Battle Day | Saturday |
| October 31, 2026 | Super Mega Raid Day | Saturday |
| November 28, 2026 | Super Mega Raid Day | Saturday |
Every date on the list is a Saturday. All ten. If your local raid group has a standing Saturday plan, congratulations, the whole Season just scheduled itself.
The gaps nobody is talking about
Count the Saturdays from September 8 through the end of November and you get twelve. Ten are booked. The two blanks are November 7 and November 14.
A few other things fall out of the list:
- October is completely full. All five Saturdays have something on them, which is the densest month on the calendar by a wide margin.
- Halloween is a Super Mega Raid Day. October 31 lands on a Saturday this year, and instead of the usual costumed catch fest getting the headline slot, it's a raid day. The wider Halloween event will almost certainly still run around it, but the Saturday itself belongs to raids.
- November's Community Day moved earlier. November 21 is the weekend before US Thanksgiving on November 26. Last year's November Community Day was November 30, sitting right in the middle of the holiday weekend. Moving it up a week is a real quality of life change if you host or travel.
- Zero December dates. Forever Forward ran 14 weeks. If Season 24 matches that, it wraps around mid December, which means December events including the usual end of year Community Day recap weekend just weren't announced here. Treat that as an educated guess, not a fact, until the Season page goes live.
What each of these events actually gives you
Species aren't announced, but the formats are well established at this point. Here is what the 2026 versions of each have handed out, so you know what to hoard.
Community Day (October 10, November 21)
The August 2026 Community Day ran 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time with:
| Bonus | Value |
|---|---|
| Catch Stardust | 3x |
| Catch Candy | 2x |
| Candy XL chance | 2x |
| Incense duration | 3 hours |
| Lure duration | 1 hour, active until 9:00 p.m. |
| Special Trades | 1 extra, max 2 for the day |
| Trade Stardust cost | 50% off, until 9:00 p.m. |
| Exclusive move | Evolve during the event or up to 4 hours after |
That trade discount plus the extra Special Trade is the single best dust window you get all month. Plan the trade, don't improvise it.
Community Day Classic (September 12)
Classics revisit a species that already had a Community Day and re run its exclusive move, which is aimed squarely at anyone who missed the original or came back to the game since.
The catch: the bonus set is lighter. May 2026's Deino Classic ran the same 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. window but listed 3x Catch XP instead of 3x Catch Stardust, a 3 hour Incense, and 1 hour Lures. No extra Special Trade and no Stardust discount appeared in that bonus list. Don't bank your dust plans on the September date.
Super Mega Raid Day (September 19, October 31, November 28)
Three of them this Season, which confirms the format is here to stay. The June 2026 Skarmory version ran 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local with:
- Remote Raid Pass daily limit raised to 20
- Up to 6 free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs
- Increased Shiny chance on the featured boss
- A US$4.99 ticket that pushed free passes to 14, added increased Rare Candy XL from raids, plus an extra 5,000 XP and 5,000 Stardust per Super Mega Raid
Super Mega Raids only appear at certain Gyms and genuinely need a group, so these are the days to actually show up in person or line up remote invites in advance.
Max Battle Day (October 3, October 24)
The August 2026 Gigantamax Rillaboom day ran 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local with the boss on every Power Spot, six star Max Battles, 2x XP from Max Battles, double Max Particles from walking at a quarter of the usual distance, a raised Max Particle cap, the Remote Raid limit bumped from 10 to 20, and three Special Trades for the day.
Two of these in three weeks is a lot of Max Particles. If you're sitting near your cap in early October, spend down before the 3rd.
Hatch Day (October 17)
The 2026 Hatch Days ran 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local with half Egg hatch distance, double hatch Candy, a higher 2 km Egg drop rate, and free event Timed Research that included an Incubator. Note that the hatch distance bonus has not stacked with other event or GO Pass hatch bonuses.
Practical version: don't dump your Incubators on junk 2 km Eggs in the second week of October. Save the slots.
Catch Mastery (September 26)
The oddball of the group and the only one with a long window. February 2026's Oricorio Catch Mastery ran 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local, ten hours, and rewarded throwing accuracy: 2x XP for Nice throws or better, bonus Candy for accurate catches, increased Shiny chance, and both free and paid Timed Research. Oricorio's forms were region locked, which made it a trade goldmine.
If September's Catch Mastery features anything regional, that's your cue to have a trade listing ready before the day starts, not after.
What 2026 has already used
Worth knowing, because it narrows what's left for October and November. Community Day species so far this year:

| Date | Featured | Type |
|---|---|---|
| March 14, 2026 | Scorbunny | Community Day |
| April 11, 2026 | Tinkatink | Community Day |
| May 9, 2026 | Lechonk | Community Day |
| May 16, 2026 | Deino | Community Day Classic |
| June 20, 2026 | Frigibax | Community Day |
| July 4, 2026 | Sobble | Community Day |
| August 16, 2026 | Nickit | Community Day |
Grookey and Vulpix took the January and February slots, and January 4 ran a Piplup Classic. That means all three Galar starters are already spent this year: Grookey in January, Scorbunny in March, Sobble in July. If you were hoping the September Classic brings a starter back, the pool of obvious candidates is thinner than it looks.

We're not going to guess the September species. Nobody outside the studio knows yet, and the teasers usually land two to three weeks out.
These dates can move, and already did once
Worth saying plainly, because it burned people this Season: the Forever Forward save the date post listed Saturday, August 15, 2026 for August's Community Day. The event actually ran Sunday, August 16, 2026.
Two of the three held, one slid by a day. So treat this list as a planning tool, not a booking confirmation. Don't take the day off work for November 21 yet.
What to actually save, in order
- Incubators for October 17. Half hatch distance plus double Candy is the best value Egg day of the Season, and Incubators are the resource you can't buy your way out of quickly.
- Remote Raid Passes for the three Super Mega Raid Days. The daily cap goes to 20 on those days and you get free passes on top. Buying passes at full price in the weeks between is how you waste coins.
- Stardust for October 10 and November 21. The 50% trade discount on Community Day is the cheapest special trade you'll ever make. A single lucky attempt at half cost pays for the wait.
- Max Particle headroom before October 3. The cap raise only helps if you aren't already sitting at it.
- Nothing at all for September 12. Classics have been light on bonuses. Show up, get the move, go home.
Check what you've already got before the buying starts. The Inventory tool tells you which of these you actually need, and the CP calculator is there for the "is this one worth evolving" argument you'll have at 4:55 p.m.
The trade angle
Community Day is the best trading day of the month and most people ignore it. Two things stack in your favor:
- 50% off Stardust on every trade, not just the featured species. That is the window for the expensive stuff: a lucky attempt on a legendary, a long distance trade, the trade you've been putting off for a month.
- An extra Special Trade, so two in one day instead of one.
Max Battle Day went even further in August with three Special Trades in a day. If the October Max Battle Days repeat that, October 3 and October 24 are quietly two of the best trading days on this calendar, and almost nobody plans for them.
The move is simple. Post the listing a few days early with your real want list, agree the trade before the event, then execute it inside the discount window. Use the Trade Calculator to confirm the dust cost and Lucky odds before you commit, and keep an eye on Collections so you're not trading away the last one you own.
